For everyone in the family, Dr. Ma and her staff perform regular and deep cleanings and oral cancer screenings, taking digital x-rays and intraoral camera photos for the sharpest diagnostics. To protect and ensure the integrity of the teeth and bite, they do fillings, crowns and bridges. When the root of a tooth is infected, through root canal treatment Dr. Ma will remove the infected area, then fill and seal it. She is also proficient in the removal of wisdom teeth. Gum disease affects many patients. Instead of surgery to address it, she specializes in LANAP® (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure). This minimally invasive procedure vaporizes the infected pockets in the gums without damaging the connective tissue. The benefits of LANAP® include shorter recovery time, less pain, fewer complications, and it can also be applied to early stage or late stage gum disease.

Dr. Ruiwen Ma

Dr. Ruiwen Ma initially completed her dental school and prosthodontic residency in China, and received her Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Molecular Biology Dentistry from the University of Southern California. She then graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School, one of the country’s top schools, and spent numerous continuing education hours on minimally invasive dental extractions, implant placement and restorations, all-on-4 procedures, detail-oriented root canal treatment, Invisalign and other clear aligner therapies, conventional and prepless veneers/crowns/bridges, removable partial and dentures, full mouth habitation, sleep apnea, minimal sedation, digital dentistry and laser dentistry. As a believer of lifelong learning, she updates herself on the latest dental technology on a daily basis.

Dr. Ma is there to provide patients with the personalized plans and alternatives to fit their individual needs, because she honors every patient’s unique dental condition, personal preferences, and outcome goals. She is proficient in all aspects of dentistry and is also supported by a network of dental specialists, whom she can refer her patients to if they could have a better outcome.
